thePanel is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit group that brings together Ottawa policy professionals and students for an evening of networking and debate about current affairs and Canada's place in the world.
We are looking to fill the following positions:

Treasurer:

thePanel is looking for a Treasurer!
Responsibilities include:
​

developing and managing annual and event budgets,
-
reviewing and approving contracts and expenses,
-
and working with thePanel's accountant to issue annual financial statements.
The estimated workload is 5-10 hours per month.
​
Candidates should have experience in a similar role with not-for-profits or a student council.
​
Familiarity with accounting software a plus.
​

Sponsorship Team Member:

thePanel is looking for a volunteer member for our sponsorship team!
Responsibilities include:

developing and managing event sponsorship relationships

maintaining sponsorship database,

approaching potential event sponsors,
This position reports to our Director of Partnerships. The estimated workload is 4-6 hours per month.

Candidates should have an interest in public policy and be determined to learn about sales.

Responsibilities include:

Candidates should have an interest in event planning, logistics, and be extremely organized.
