Todd Romaine

Todd Romaine is the Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility with Nevsun Resources Ltd, a Canadian company that has partnered with the Government of Eritrea in owning and operating one of the highest grade open pit mines in the world. He plays a key company role to ensure that the Bisha Mine is a positive development within Eritrean society.

 

As such he actively monitors and facilitates improved governance pertaining to environmental management, health & safety, work place conditions, human rights, community & stakeholder relations and localisation (training & supply chain).

 

He holds a graduate degree from the Fletcher School (Tufts University) in International Relations, a graduate degree in Leadership from the University of Guelph, undergraduate degrees in Planning and Environment from the University of Northern British Columbia and attended an ecology and conservation school in Madagascar with the School for International Training.

 

He previously served as the Senior Manager, Land Services with Enbridge Pipelines Inc. in both Canada and the United States as well as worked in senior leadership positions pertaining to natural resource management for an regional aboriginal organization in the Northwest Territories and with the Government of Nunavut.
