Christina Murray

Christina Murray is a professor of Constitutional and Human Rights Law at the University of Cape Town and is currently a member of the United Nations Mediation Standby Team. Her first experience in constitution-making was serving on a panel of experts advising the South African Constitutional Assembly in drafting South Africa's Constitution between 1994 and 1996. Recently, she was part of the constitutional support team of the Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations on Yemen, was a member of the Constitution Commission of Fiji and served on the Kenyan Committee of Experts that prepared the 2010 Constitution of Kenya. In addition, she has provided constitutional expertise in a number of other countries including Egypt, Libya, Sudan, South Sudan, Nepal, Zimbabwe and Pakistan. Professor Murray is an expert on constitution making, constitutional design and implementing new constitutions.
