Since 2006, economic growth has been a key priority for the Harper government, underlying everything from domestic policies on immigration and job creation to the expansion of duty-free ports and an ambitious trade agenda.
The government’s new Global Markets Action Plan aims to ensure all diplomatic assets promote Canadian business. The Honourable Ed Fast, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, says the Plan “represents a sea change in the way Canada’s diplomatic assets are deployed around the world.”
But what does this change mean for Canada? Where does it take us, and where do we go from here?
thePANEL will explore these questions and more at its third debate.
